Web Hosting in Saudi Arabia for Arabic-First Businesses

  • Arabic and bilingual sites
  • SAR among our quoting currencies
  • Region confirmed before you order

A cPanel platform that treats right-to-left as normal, not as an edge case

ElySpace is a global host, and we say that plainly rather than dressing up as a Kingdom company. ElySpace IT Services LLP has been running hosting since 2016 and now serves over 27,000 customers. What a Saudi business gets from us is the practical part: a cPanel and LiteSpeed stack that renders Arabic type and mirrored layouts properly, a round-the-clock ticket desk that does not care that your working week ends on Thursday, Saudi riyals among the currencies we quote in, and a straight answer about which region will serve your account before you spend anything.

Why Saudi businesses put their websites on ElySpace

Vision 2030 pushed a lot of Saudi trade online in a hurry, and most of it now has to work in two scripts, settle in riyals, satisfy a data-protection regulator that did not exist a decade ago, and stay up through a calendar that peaks around Ramadan and Hajj rather than around Christmas. Those are the six things we get asked about most often by buyers in the Kingdom.

Arabic and right-to-left layout support

Right-to-left is a first-class case

An Arabic site is not an English site with the text swapped. The document direction flips, the stylesheet logical properties have to follow it, Arabic web fonts are heavier than Latin ones because of the contextual letter forms, and a cache that was tuned on a Latin theme will happily serve a broken mirrored layout. Our stack runs LiteSpeed Enterprise with LSCache, EasyApache ea-php83 and full UTF-8 across MySQL, so Arabic content, Arabic slugs and mixed ar and en pages behave the way you built them. If your theme ships an RTL stylesheet, it loads; if it does not, we will tell you that before you migrate rather than after.

Saudi riyal billing and invoicing

Budget in riyals, not in someone else's currency

Saudi riyals sit alongside USD, EUR, GBP and INR in the ElySpace currency list, so you can compare a plan in the unit your finance team actually budgets in instead of doing mental arithmetic on a dollar figure that moves. What matters more than the display currency is that the amount you approve in the cart is the amount that gets charged, and that renewal is priced in the open rather than hidden behind an introductory teaser. Ask for the renewal figure before you order and we will put it in writing.

Saudi PDPL data protection

PDPL is your obligation, and we are part of your answer

Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law, supervised by SDAIA, applies to personal data about people in the Kingdom even when the processing happens elsewhere. That makes you the controller and your host one of your processors, which means you need to know who we are, what we hold, where it sits and what happens if something goes wrong. Our data protection commitments set out the processing agreement and the sub-processor position in writing, and if your PDPL assessment needs a specific answer from us, ask for it in a ticket and you will get one in writing rather than a marketing sentence.

Saudi working week support coverage

A support desk that fits the Saudi week

The Kingdom works Sunday to Thursday and rests on Friday and Saturday, on Arabia Standard Time at UTC+3. A host that staffs one Western business day is useless to you on a Sunday morning and unreachable when your Thursday evening deployment goes sideways. ElySpace runs live chat and the ticket desk around the clock, every day, so 09:00 in Riyadh on a Sunday is an ordinary staffed hour here. Support is delivered in English; plenty of Saudi teams run the hosting relationship in English while the website itself is entirely in Arabic, because those are two separate problems and only one of them lives in the ticket queue.

Saudi domain names and DNS

Your .sa name, wherever it was registered

Most Saudi companies end up holding two names: a .com for the wider Gulf and a .sa or .com.sa that signals they are a real registered business at home. The .sa space is run by SaudiNIC and third-level names such as .com.sa are issued against documentation, typically a Saudi commercial registration, which is why they are usually held through a local registrar. That does not stop you hosting here. Point the nameservers at us and the site, the mail and the SSL all work exactly as they would on a name bought through our own domain search and transfer tools.

Uptime and security stack

The stack behind the promise

Named parts, not adjectives: LiteSpeed Enterprise as the web server, CloudLinux for per-account isolation so a neighbour's runaway script is not your outage, cPanel and WHM for management, Imunify360 for malware detection and the application firewall, JetBackup for scheduled snapshots, NVMe SSD storage, EasyApache ea-php83, and Cloudflare in front. That is the platform the 99.9% uptime SLA is written against. If a component in that list matters to your procurement checklist, it is there in black and white rather than implied.

Round the clock support

Staffed on a Sunday

Live chat and tickets run every hour of every day, so the Saudi working week and the Friday to Saturday weekend are both covered.

Arabic typography and RTL rendering

Arabic renders properly

UTF-8 end to end, LSCache that respects your RTL stylesheet, and PHP 8.3 that handles Arabic strings without mangling them.

Region disclosed before ordering

Region told upfront

Ask which region will serve your account and you get a specific answer before payment, not a vague map of the world afterwards.

Built for Arabic sites, Saudi buyers
and Saudi paperwork

Three things separate a Saudi hosting decision from a generic one: the script, the calendar and the compliance file. Here is how each one lands on the platform.

Bilingual sites without
two separate headaches

The usual Saudi build is one brand with two faces: Arabic at the root for customers in the Kingdom, English for suppliers, investors and Gulf partners. Run both from one account and the work is in the details. Each language needs its own indexable URL rather than a cookie or an IP redirect, the pair needs reciprocal hreflang so search engines do not treat one as a copy of the other, the Arabic side needs dir="rtl" on the document rather than a stylesheet hack, and both need to survive the same cache rules. Our LiteSpeed setup lets you vary the cache on the language path, so an Arabic visitor is never handed a cached English page and vice versa.

  • Separate indexable paths per language
  • LSCache rules that respect RTL themes
  • UTF-8 across files, database and mail
  • Arabic-script domains stored as punycode

A calendar that peaks
when the Kingdom shops

Saudi traffic does not follow a Western retail year. It swells through Ramadan nights, spikes hard in the days before Eid, moves again around the Hajj season and shifts every year because the Hijri calendar slides against the Gregorian one. If your host sized your account against a flat monthly average, those are the weeks it falls over. Plan for the peak rather than the mean: know your entry processes and memory ceiling, keep object caching on so the database is not re-answering the same query thousands of times an hour, and agree the upgrade path in advance so the change is a plan swap in the client area rather than an emergency at 02:00. Every ElySpace account can move up a tier without rebuilding, and your data stays where it is while it happens.

The compliance file
your finance team will ask for

Two Saudi requirements reach your hosting account even though neither is a hosting product. The first is tax: the standard VAT rate in the Kingdom is 15%, and ZATCA now expects registered businesses to issue electronic invoices, which means the invoicing or e-commerce application you run here has to be able to produce them and keep them. The second is data: under the PDPL you have to be able to say where personal data goes and who touches it, including transfers outside the Kingdom. Neither is solved by a badge on a hosting page. What we can do is give you the specifics your accountant and your DPO need, in writing, with a named contact on the ticket. Tell us what the form asks for and we will answer that form.

From first question
to a live Saudi site

Four steps, and the only one with a deadline is the DNS change, which you control. Nothing switches over until you say it does.

01

Ask about the region

Tell us where your audience sits and what your PDPL assessment needs. We confirm which region will serve the account before you pay.

02

Pick a plan in riyals

Choose a plan from our shared cPanel hosting range, set the display currency to SAR and check the renewal figure before you confirm.

03

Hand us the migration

Open a ticket with your current cPanel or FTP details. We copy files, databases and mailboxes, then hand you a staging URL to check the Arabic layout.

04

You flip the DNS

Once the copy looks right in both languages, you change the nameservers at whichever registrar holds your .sa or .com name. Old host stays live until it stops resolving.

Questions about hosting from Saudi Arabia?

The three questions worth asking any host before you buy are which region serves you, what the renewal costs, and what they will put in writing about personal data. Ask us all three. If a WordPress build in Arabic is what you are moving, our managed WordPress stack is where most of these projects land, and if you want a person rather than a form you can reach the ElySpace team directly.

Saudi Arabia Hosting FAQ's

No. ElySpace sells to individuals and companies worldwide, and a hosting account needs nothing more than a valid billing contact. A Saudi commercial registration (CR) becomes relevant in two other places: when you apply for a .com.sa domain through SaudiNIC, which issues third-level names against documentation, and when you register for VAT with ZATCA. Neither of those is a condition of hosting with us, and a freelancer in Jeddah opens an account on exactly the same terms as a company in Riyadh.

Saudi riyals are one of the currencies ElySpace quotes in, alongside US dollars, euros, pounds sterling and Indian rupees, so you can read a plan in the unit you budget in. Two things matter more than the symbol on the page. The first is that the figure you approve in the cart is the figure that gets charged. The second is the renewal price, which is the number that actually decides whether a plan is cheap. Ask for both before you order and we will confirm them in writing on the ticket.

Closer than the origin on its own would suggest. Cloudflare sits in front of the platform, so images, stylesheets and scripts are handed to a Gulf visitor from a cache near them instead of being fetched across the world on every page view. What cannot be cached, a logged-in page or a checkout step, still travels to the origin, so the only honest way to settle this is to measure it: ask us which region your account will sit on, then run your own test from a Saudi connection before you commit. ElySpace is not a Saudi company and will not imply that your account sits inside the Kingdom when it does not.

For an ordinary private-sector website there is no blanket rule that forces hosting inside Saudi Arabia, and a .com.sa domain does not carry a hosting-location condition. It changes if you handle government data or work in a regulated sector such as banking, health or telecoms, where classification and residency rules from your own regulator can apply to the systems holding that data. That is a question for your compliance team and your sector regulator, not for a hosting sales page. Get the classification first, then choose the region.

Under the Personal Data Protection Law you are the controller for the personal data your website collects and your host is one of your processors. Practically, that means you need a written processing arrangement, a record of what we hold and where, a route to tell us to delete it, and a way to be told quickly if something goes wrong. Our data protection commitments cover the processing agreement and the sub-processor position. If your SDAIA-facing assessment asks a question we have not already published, send the question on a ticket and you will get a written answer.

Yes, and you do not have to move the registration to do it. The .sa namespace is administered by SaudiNIC and names such as yourcompany.com.sa are typically held through a local registrar because of the documentation the registry asks for. Leave the name exactly where it is, point its nameservers at your ElySpace account, and the website, the mailboxes and the free SSL all issue normally. If you also want a .com, a .net or a regional alternative in the same place as your hosting, our domain tools handle that side.

Yes. Direction and typography are decided by your theme and your markup, and the hosting job is to not get in the way: UTF-8 across the filesystem, the MySQL database and the mail stack, PHP 8.3 that handles Arabic strings and Arabic slugs correctly, and LSCache rules that do not serve a Latin variant of a page to an Arabic visitor. Arabic-script domain names are stored in punycode and work the same way. Where RTL sites usually break is a theme with no RTL stylesheet or a plugin that hard-codes left alignment, and we will flag that on the staging copy before you cut over.

Sunday is an ordinary staffed day here, as are Friday and Saturday. Live chat and the ticket desk run around the clock, so there is no dead window between the end of a Riyadh working day and the start of somebody else's. Support is delivered in English. We would rather say that plainly than advertise an Arabic desk we do not staff, and in practice most Saudi teams handle the hosting relationship in English while the website stays entirely in Arabic.

It affects it in one specific way. A mada or Apple Pay checkout is a conversation between your site and a payment gateway, with a redirect out and a callback back in, so what your host has to get right is outbound connectivity, a valid certificate on the callback URL, and enough PHP execution time that a slow gateway response does not time out mid-order. Free SSL is issued on every domain and renews automatically, and outbound calls to gateway APIs are permitted. Card data never touches the hosting account, which is exactly how you want it.

Migration is free and the sequence is designed so nothing goes dark. We copy files, databases and mailboxes from your current cPanel or FTP account while the old site keeps serving, then give you a staging URL so you can check the Arabic layout, the forms and the checkout. Only when you are satisfied do you change the nameservers at your registrar, and the old host continues answering until the change propagates. Lower your DNS TTL a day before the switch and the visible gap is nil.

Start your Saudi site on a platform that answers questions

Three protections come switched on with every plan rather than sold back to you as an upgrade. They are the ones that decide whether an Arabic storefront survives its first busy Ramadan week.

Free SSL certificates

SSL on every domain

A payment gateway will not call back to an invalid certificate, and a Saudi shopper will not type card details into a browser warning. SSL is issued free on every domain and every subdomain on the account, renews on its own, and covers your Arabic and English hostnames alike.

See what a plan includes
JetBackup scheduled snapshots

JetBackup snapshots

Scheduled snapshots kept off the live server, restorable per file, per database or in full from cPanel. Take one before a theme update, an RTL stylesheet change or a plugin you are unsure about, and the rollback is minutes rather than a rebuild from whatever the developer has on a laptop.

Read our data commitments
Imunify360 malware protection

Imunify360 defence

Real-time malware scanning, an application firewall and automatic clean-up, running on top of CloudLinux account isolation so a compromised neighbour cannot become your incident. For a site holding customer records under the PDPL, that is not a nice extra, it is the baseline.

Read the uptime SLA

Switching from your current Saudi or Gulf host

You do not need to time it around anything. We copy the site while your existing host keeps serving, you check the Arabic pages and the checkout on a staging URL, and you change the nameservers when it suits you. Files, databases and mailboxes come across at no charge, and there is a 30-day money-back guarantee behind the whole thing if the platform turns out not to suit you.
